How should I prepare for my first Driving Lesson?
Reading the highway code is essential before starting lessons. You don’t have to have read it all the way through but its best to have made a start. Other books recommended are..Driving : the essential skills and the official driving test, both available at book shops and written by the DSA.
Payment?
Payment can be made by cash or cheque.
Should I go out driving with my parents first?
It’s best not to. The driving test is very specific, and it can take a long time to “teach out” wrongly taught habits. The way you were taught first tends to be the way you remember, so if its wrong…..!
Can I take the test in my own car?
Yes, but why? You may as well take your test in the car you’ve been taught in.
Which Test Centre is it best for me to take my test in?
It’s your choice and we will take lessons there to familiarise you with the nuances of the route. You will not be taught test routes!
What is your Pass Rate?
Pass rates are very ambiguous, even the best prepared pupil may be thrown by something that happens on the day. I prefer to build up a relationship with the student to have them prepared to the best of their potential.
